Miss Mouse (b. 1979, Graz, Austria) developed her artistic practice through an early and sustained engagement with color, form, and material. Growing up in a visually stimulating environment, she began experimenting with artistic media at a young age, cultivating an intuitive understanding of aesthetics, composition, and visual balance that continues to inform her work today.
Rooted primarily in Pop Art, her practice draws from comic structures, popular imagery, and elements of Street Art and fashion, resulting in a visual language that is immediately recognizable yet conceptually grounded. Bold chromatic compositions, simplified forms, and graphic clarity are central to her work. Color functions not merely as an aesthetic device, but as an active carrier of meaning—used to convey optimism, emotional accessibility, and a sense of positive energy.
Miss Mouse’s works often balance playfulness with reflection. While her imagery appears approachable and vibrant, it is underpinned by a conscious engagement with contemporary visual culture and its social dimensions. Through repetition, variation, and stylization, she creates works that resist fixed interpretation while remaining open and communicative.
Over time, Miss Mouse expanded her practice beyond painting into sculpture, embracing new materials and technologies. She works extensively with PLA filament, a biodegradable material, integrating environmental awareness into her artistic process. Utilizing contemporary 3D-printing techniques, she translates her two-dimensional visual vocabulary into sculptural form. These works extend her Pop Art language into space, emphasizing material presence, tactility, and spatial interaction while maintaining the clarity and energy characteristic of her paintings.
Across media, her practice is marked by a commitment to experimentation and evolution. Painting and sculpture exist in dialogue, allowing motifs, forms, and colors to migrate between surfaces and dimensions. This fluidity reflects her broader artistic approach—one that values process, adaptability, and the continuous redefinition of form.
At its core, Miss Mouse’s work is driven by a belief in creativity as an affirmative force. Her practice positions art as a means of connection, resilience, and cultural exchange, emphasizing the capacity of visual language to inspire, uplift, and engage across diverse audiences.
Miss Mouse lives and works in Graz, Austria, where she continues to develop her distinctive artistic language, exploring the intersections of Pop Art, contemporary technology, and material innovation.
