MEVE Gallery was founded in 2020 and is located in the heart of the historic old town of Graz, Austria. We operate at the intersection of cultural heritage and contemporary artistic discourse, positioning the gallery as a platform for dialogue across time, geography, and material practice.

Our programme is dedicated to contemporary art, Pop Art, and selected works of the 19th and 20th centuries. Through a carefully developed curatorial approach, we bring historical and contemporary positions into meaningful conversation, emphasizing continuity, contrast, and critical engagement.

A core focus of our work lies in artists from the African continent, with particular attention to practices from Ghana and Nigeria. Through exhibitions, collaborations, and sustained curatorial engagement, we present artistic voices that address identity, memory, postcolonial narratives, urban culture, and global exchange. These practices are integral to our programme and contribute centrally to contemporary art discourse.

In addition to painting and works on paper, we present a strong and evolving selection of sculptural practices. Sculpture is approached as an expanded field—engaging space, architecture, and the body, and exploring the relationship between material, form, and environment through both traditional and experimental methodologies.

We are committed to rigorous curatorial standards, scholarly research, and long-term relationships with artists, collectors, and institutions. Our exhibitions are conceived to be intellectually grounded, visually compelling, and culturally resonant, while maintaining an international perspective.

Rooted in Graz yet globally oriented, we see MEVE Gallery as a meeting point for collectors, curators, and audiences seeking depth, quality, and a nuanced understanding of artistic practice across eras and continents.
